Q: What if my question isn’t answered here, or I have a concern?
A: For all other questions, concerns, technical issues, or notices (including copyright-related concerns), please contact our support team at support@templeofthejedi.org.
Q: How can I join the Council?
A: Council membership is open to qualified individuals with credentials that support mentorship, and the three pillars of Knowledge, Self-Discipline and deep understanding of metaphysics and spirituality or The Force.
Q: How does the Temple of the Jedi recognize Jedi trained at other temples?
A: The Temple of the Jedi honors legitimate training, rank, and mentorship earned at accredited Jedi organizations. Jedi arriving with the rank of Knight, or who have previously mentored apprentices, may have their titles recognized on a provisional basis while the Council is formally established.
Currently recognized accredited temples include:
• International Jedi Federation (IJF)
• Temple of the Jedi Order (TOTJO)
Training or credentials from other Jedi temples, independent schools, offline training, academic degrees, or related disciplines will also be considered. However, all incoming Jedi are required to complete the Temple of the Jedi Votary sample assignments to ensure alignment with our philosophy, structure, and expectations.
Until the Council is fully established, no new Jedi will be promoted to the rank of Master. Only highly accredited Jedi who have previously knighted other Jedi, demonstrated sustained leadership, and contributed meaningfully to Jedi education may be recognized with the title during this interim period.
Once the Council is seated, all provisional recognitions will be formally reviewed to ensure fairness, consistency, and the long-term integrity of the Order.
Q: Can I access all assignments immediately?
A: Currently, only Votary sample assignments are available. Jedi interested in helping build assignment material or joining the Council will gain expanded access in the future.
Q: How are assignments structured?
A: assignments are rank-based and mentorship-driven, including meditation, lightsaber training, philosophy, and Force application. Students progress as they complete required credits.
Q: Do I need a mentor?
A: Mentorship is central from Padawan apprentice onward. Mentors guide practical skills, personal development, and rank-appropriate assignment completion.
Q: How do I join the Temple of The Jedi?
A: Start as a Votary by registering. Complete the sample Votary assignments to begin your path.
Q: Are there age restrictions?
A: Votary and Initiate ranks have no minimum age, but Padawans and above require 17+. Masters typically start mentoring at 21+.
Q: What events are offered?
A: Retreats and workshops cover meditation, lightsaber training, philosophy, and experiential Jedi practices, both virtually and in-person.
Q: How do I access the Lightsaber Database?
A: Only Initiates and higher have access to the Lightsaber Database. It contains designs, images, and a customer user interface for sharing your lightsaber or lightsaber collection.
Q: How do I access the Archives?
A: Votaries have access to basic archives. Higher ranks (Initiates, Padawans, Knights, Masters) gain additional content according to rank permissions and mentorship guidance.
Q: How do I make custom assignments?
A: Custom assignments can only be created by Knights and above. This allows experienced Jedi to assign specialized lessons to students while maintaining structure and quality.
Q: Why can’t I see higher-rank assignment materials?
A: Access beyond Votary assignments is restricted until new Jedi contribute to assignment creation or join the Council. This ensures high-quality, guided content for all students.
Q: How was Temple of the Jedi created?
A: TempleoftheJedi.org is a custom-built web application created by Devin Hatt (Davi-Kar Carverhart), written in Notepad++. The platform features a fully responsive interface, progressive web app functionality, and integrated community tools such as Discord chat and rank synchronization, archives, lightsaber database, push notifications, and much more. Users can track assignments, access mentorship tools, and interact with dynamic content across desktop and mobile devices. The system is designed for scalability and immersive learning while maintaining a polished and intuitive user experience.
